Music on Mono Monday
He played Beethoven Piano Sonata No 17 second movement and Chopin Nocturne No 20 in C# minor. What else could I possibly need on a Monday lunchtime? It was a justly deserved compensation for a morning that saw Robin leave to return to Baku after an all too brief encounter of a weekend.
Other than that it was an incredibly busy, (but satisfying) full on nearly ten-hour-with-no-break-day at work and a compensatory quiet evening at home with cats and Graham for company.
At 11am I asked my class to observe a minute's silence and talked to them about the significance of 'Lest We Forget', for all those who lost their lives in conflict so that we might live ours in freedom. Particularly relevant after yesterday's Ataturk memorial day.
'No country is free unless it is democratic.' - Mustafa Kemal Ataturk
