A Little Trip
After saying we were going to do it for months we finally took the ferry from Tobermory to Kilchoan today. We left the car at home but did take our dog. Bless her she does not like ferries, which is a tad inconvenient since we live on an island!
Although it stayed dry for the trip the light was rather dull and totally uninspiring, it was also rather cold on deck. So chickened out and took a photo of the landscape through the porthole, I rather liked the effect.
After a couple of hours wandering on the mainland we headed back to Mull on the little ferry and managed to get home before the damp drizzle started.
A burger and chips in a local pub warmed us up nicely. Entertainment was provided by a couple of young children playing scrabble in the corner, it was fun listening to their banter. But burst out laughing when they were disagreeing over how to spell "tourist", they tried a few ways before one child said to the other "anyway it's not "tourists" it's "bloody tourists". It's amazing what kids pick up from their parents lol!!
