Finally

After days and days of re-issuing certificates, today all the paperwork and inspections were finished. With the change of the Panamanian certificate of registry into a Dutch 'Zeebrief', we were finally allowed to hoist the Dutch flag. As soon as the Lloyd's surveyor left the ship, we took down the Panamanian flag and hoisted the Dutch flag. It was exactly 25 years ago that I hoisted a Dutch flag in the highest mast aft.
