Betsey on the beach at Nantasket

Slept well. During breakfast we had a visit from a wild turkey.  See my Extra for a shot of him outside the back door eating peanuts.

After breakfast our blip friends P (KangaZu ) and R arrived.  They live in Philadelphia and have been staying locally.   It was great to see them again.  We met them last year too when we spent the day in Mystic.

Today we travelled together and had a lovely outing to the coast.   First of all we stopped off at Duxbury to see a cranberry bog.  Most of the cranberries had been harvested but there were some left.  See my extra for a photo of the 4 of us.

Then we headed to Scituate where we had a wander around the lighthouse.  Then on to Cohasset and finally Nantasket.

We spent a long time on the beach at Nantasket.  We collected shells and pebbles. See my Extra for a panorama taken from the beach.

Then back to Dogcorner where we ate Betseys wonderful home made soup followed by some delicious pistachio bundt cake made by KangaZu.

I had a great day.  Lovely to spent time with good friends having fun.
