Poppy Pride

Extras: More of Remembrance Day, I wanted to use the first as my blip, but changed my mind. Also one of beautiful Weymouth, and another of my (vegan) flat white. May remove them in a few days as down to my last extra.

Good weather forecast, so raced to get the 1039 train to Weymouth. My original plan was Swanage now the chain ferry is back on, but the next bus was in two hours time.

Strolled to beach front. Huge turnout for remembrance day events. 1000+ people.

We stood with to pay our respects then continued into town. Coffee Saloon now closed, but Finca (we know from Dorchester) has opened nearby. Enjoyed a perfect flat white - made with Honduras ‘Finca Altos de Erapuca‘ (they roast their own).

Then to the Ship pub on the picturesque River Wey which runs through the town. I couldn’t resist a vegan roast and cider. (Sadly the Hive Trip Advisor’s No 1 restaurant, and veggie/ vegan was closed as having major roof work).

Difficult to choose today’s blip. That featured, or the two ex serviceman under the poppies at the RAFA Wings Club - in extras. M
