Defenestrating Dod
Today we took a trip to the Roman Army museum, which was pretty good - Matthew got a lot out of it and did some great sketches. We had to cut short a walk up the hill to Hadrian's Wall as it was too windy for George. I had to just sit and hug him whilst his brothers explored - whilst simultaneously hugging the dog who also found it too wild (big softie).
Thirlwall Castle was the next stop. As we looked around, Matthew merrily jumped out a high stone window. Gulp! Luckily, it wasn't so high on the other side. Naturally, George had to do it too. With a lot of persuasion, I managed to convince him to let me help him. He then decided the window was his "Roman seat" and I think he does look somewhat imperious here. Or slightly deranged? Anyway, he didn't break a limb so all is well.
