.. that Bonnie should suddenly be overwhelmed with affection for my Mum at yet another family birthday (6 children born between 1951 and1962 do generate an awful lot of further partner/children/grandchildren birthdays).

... that permission was given for what looks to be an oversized and inappropriate development by the Water of Leith in Currie. Similarly-placed, but older, developments closer to the city centre are a far better scale.
