Anniversary Walk

Yesterday was our 7th Wedding Anniversary but the only itch we had was itchy feet! 

As I didn't get back from Airdrie till last night we said we'd go for a walk and lunch out today instead.

We drove around for a bit first planning to walk around Austwick; however their was nowhere to safely park the car. The roads are so narrow in parts of the Dales.

We ended up driving further into the hills and parking on a verge. From a distance we saw there was a quarry so we went to explore (Arcow Quarry) I'm glad we did as there was a viewing platform and we could see deep down where the diggers looked like matchbox toys. We walked around the area and when we went back to the car, Bella refused to come with us. She lay in the long grass and watched us go and it was a fair distance. Even when we got in the car and Frank started the engine she lay there. We weren't going to walk all the way back so we ended up backing down the road and Frank had to drag her. She loves going for walks in wild places where there maybe rabbits! We like finding interesting places.

We found a pub just down the road and had a delicious meal (Vegan Chilli, chips and fresh veg medleyfor me).
