Identity issues...
Most people despise this structure for the way it completely dominates the east end of central Edinburgh. It is certainly true that some beautiful Georgian squares and the unusual two-tier shopping arcade on the north side of Leith Street were pulled down to make way for it.
The hotel is called King James - the Centre appears to have become St James.
All I know was that Scotland had six King James', until the sixth went off to run England as well and became James VI and I. None of them was particularly saintly....
