We Will Remember Them

Remembering the 55,573 men who died in Bomber Command missions in the second world war and the remainder who survived out of the 125,000 all of whom were volunteers.

Remembering particularly the crew of Halifax III, N.A. 492 of 640 Squadron
crashed at RAF Woodbridge on 12/13 May 1944.

My Father John Hobbs was the wireless operator on this flight.


The photograph is of the Bomber Command Memorial at its opening with a rather obvious insertion of the Lancaster bomber that overflew the opening.
