I came across this while looking for something else & was struck by the weird style of photographer Mr Wickens of Bangor, North Wales in 1941.

Yes, that's yours truly & my incredible mother who made all the clothes you can see in this photo. They didn't have Photoshop back then - so I wonder how he got that effect?

Also thought I'd slip in an extra nicked from the BBC just to see if the Leith Police dismisseth us? The German girls are celebrating a 2-1 win against the English in the Wembley Stadium before 77,000 people.

Have to state that the women's game is far more enjoyable to watch than the men's!
