Snow!

This morning we had snow. It snowed heavily (extra) and settled for a while before sleet thawed some of it (there's still quite a bit lying though). There were children making small snowmen and sledging at the castle, making the most of it. The photo is a real mix of autumn and winter!

There have been a number of accidents as the gritters hadn't been out, the amount of snow must have been a surprise to the powers that be.

I must tell you a funny story. F went into the bread shop this morning and asked for a large granary loaf. The lady behind the counter said "I've just sold the last one to .... (our rather unpopular MP). Suddenly all the other customers in the shop started to Boo.  People moan about him but he always gets elected!
