Poppies by the Cardrona River

I have had a very busy day.  My first job was to get the washing on the line, then finish weed eating the upper lawn.  I took the grass clippings to the green waste, then drove on to see what the poppies were doing by the Cardrona River.  They are beginning to look quite nice.  The bridge is on Ballantyne Road.  It has been raining in the mountains all day, not quite reaching the township.  (Extra 1)  

Therefore about 15 of us turned up to play a game or two of croquet this afternoon.  Managed to get 3 or 4 games finished.  It's not cold, +18C.

We had a thunder storm last night, about 2 a.m.  It seemed to go on and on.  It feels like another thunder storm is coming on again.
