Focal Distance

6 weeks old
The last few weeks caught up with me yesterday evening and I ran out of steam and went to bed at 7pm, and had a much better night's sleep.  We've all said it before but you do forget how much work goes in to and around a new baby, on top of all the stress and worry about every change in his routine; different poo; no poo; too much poo.  On the plus side Euan is much more aware and regularly tracks his Mum and Dad around the room, responding to their voices.  'Talking' noises are beginning too, little coos and sighs.  They don't last for long but we all react with wonder when they occur.

This morning Rob and Becky had appointments at the Federal Building in Revere so Grandad Tony and I were in charge!  The location was not conducive to us pushing Euan in the stroller and the temperature plummeted overnight so it was minus something this morning with a windchill.  So Plan B was that he was fed and then we looked after him here at home whilst they were out.

Plan C was that Euan would sleep throughout the couple of hours but, after putting him down in his napper he had other ideas.  Still too cold to take him outside, we moved to Plan D which was to feed him Becky's expressed milk from a bottle.  This was a first for both of us!  Thankfully, we mastered the bottle warmer and I remembered the old 'try out the temperature on your wrist' and Euan did his part and took to it easily.

Mum and Dad returned soon after and here is Euan after a top up, pretending to go to sleep.   The days are flying away now, not much cuddle time remaining....
