Writing while drinking

One piece of popular writing advice is to ‘write drunk, edit sober’. I went to the pub and had a g&t to see if it would help with my attempt at this year’s NaNoWriMo competition. I hit my daily word count, but didn’t get any closer to solving my main plot problem.

One g&t probably isn’t enough to get the synapses snapping, but I’m not convinced that drinking till tipsy every afternoon is a good idea.
