Winter birds

I was going to an area in town with a babbling brook. When I arrived, to my surprise where dozens of beautiful birds. Finch, robins, cardinals, woodpeckers, etc. They were eating the berries off the trees, and drinking from the brook.
This bird was kind enough to spread his wings in the sunlight. But, I'm sorry to say, I don't know what kind of bird he is!
