Into this World We're Thrown

Look at them.

Like something out of.... the desert.

I was trying to think of a film, which has it's two glorious stars in the middle of the steppes but I can't think of any.

This from their journey out side Uulambataar - and to the Ger of the Nomads, wearing the traditional coats of the goat / horse farmers to keep out the bitter cold.

I am relieved to find out that after the chance encounter with the man in the square, they did actually research him, and make sure that he wasn't some random lunatic on the search for viable white slaves.

It never occurs to me that this man-child does actually have a level of sense within him (which isn't apparent from the mis-behaviour and constant singing, and weird voices).

I should have known; in my heart of hearts, he would never have taken Jess into a situation which hadn't been thoroughly thought through first.   Even so - I think she was exceptionally brave to go along with his idea.

Hoomans I don't know are bad enough; hoomans who have no English, kill their farm animals for breakfast, and live in a tent 365 days a year are so far out of my comfort zone I would probably have imploded from the suggestion.

Besides which, If I wore that, I'd look like a sack of potatoes.

Damn those photogenic, brave, and bloody crazy kids.
