Patience of angels

This week has been tough, for many reasons, but I've definitely had more than one guardian angel looking over me in the form of my loving friends and family. Thank you to you all!

I also wish every time I look at this little angel that I had the patience and skill to craft something like this from wood. I imagine that it must be so rewarding. I always found it easier to work with metal during my GCSE and A Level art courses, but maybe I'll give it a try some time!

I've been talking to someone at the Sight Services in Newcastle today about the possibility of helping partially sighted people with archival research, as well as developing an exhibition about the history of employment for partially sighted people in the North East, which I'm really excited to get involved with! I'll let the world of blip know how I get on with that as it develops.
