Hypocrisy in first general election mail received

I received my first general election mail today. It was promoting Stephen Kerr who has been the Stirling Constituency MP since the last general election. The main message was to vote for Stephen who will stand firm against a Scottish Independence referendum. The main message is “We said No, why won’t she listen” with a picture of the leader of the SNP - Nicola Sturgeon. This got me thinking about how hypocritical this was: Stephen’s constituents voted against Brexit and yet Stephen has voted for Brexit at every opportunity in the House of Commons. I therefore reworked his election leaflet and it now reads: “We voted No, why won’t he listen” with a picture of Stephen.

For information the results of the two votes were:
Scottish Independence Yes 40.23% No 59.77%
Brexit Yes 33%. No 67%

For those supporting a further vote on independence, they would argue that there have been significant changes since the last vote where a major selling point of those on the No side was that the only way Scotland would remain part of the EU would be to vote No!!
