Logjam removed.

The Beech tree which had fallen across the river as a result of Saturday's storm is being removed.Large sections of the trunk have been winched on to the bank, but there remains probably the top third which lies partly in the river and across the far bank. The root ball and lower trunk have been pulled upright, presumably to stop it falling into the river. Fast action,I imagine by The Environment Agency, to prevent the build up of further debris from upstream and the creation of a "dam".
