Firstly, I was overwhelmed by the generous remarks made on my milestone Blip yesterday. Thank you so much for the kind words.

Now, back to earth again.

This mushroom log was given to me nearly SIX YEARS ago.
Impregnated with spores of the Shiitake mushroom.  I have CROPPED SOME  and eaten them 
But now, after a long fruitless spell, the rains have brought more mushrooms.

BUT, are they rogue spores which have landed on the log, or have the original spores decided to suddenly grow?

Should  we eat them or just admire them?
