Bi Wired

I spent a couple of fiddly, tangly, frustrating hours bi wiring my speakers. If you've got a good hifi it is one of those questions that divides opinion as to whether it actually makes any difference. In a nutshell, instead of driving the whole speaker on one circuit from the amp, you use two circuits. One for the high frequency tweeter and one for the low frequency speaker. The theory is you get less interference, more power, better sound etc.


If you blindfolded me and played them side by side would I tell a difference? Probably not. It does sound amazing though but then my hifi always has!

You can spend hundreds on speaker wire with reviews talking about how each wire has particular tonal qualities. If you ask me that is a load of marketing bovine excrement. Mine is just decent quality thick speaker cable from wilkos.
