Newark Castle

I'm off to my Annual Reunion (aka two days eating and drinking).  This year it is being held in Cambridge (possibly for some pretence at 'culture').
I couldn't get enthusiastic about driving from the C-o-U to the C-o-L (Centre of Learning) in one go, so I decided to overnight in Newark-on-Trent.
What a revelation!  I love the place.  The weather was not very kind, heavily overcast and damp, but what a town.  Chock full of history.
