City and Country

Last week's cancelled lunch with cousin Alison took place today in the centre of Glasgow. I took the train in from the outskirts - by far the quickest and least hassle - and this was the scene looking across the low-level platform of Queen Street station while waiting for the train back.

Extra  -  after the hustle and bustle of the city, it is always a delight to take the bend in the road on the way home and be treated to this view of Stockiemuir and the hills in the distance.
