Lingering heat

I hauled myself inside and checked the temperature for the town I live in, on an app on my phone. 35 degrees. I was wilting.

Yep, I'm happy to put aircon on when it's that hot. A while later I checked the temperature near the outside heat pump unit. 36 degrees. That was on the south side of the house.

Later in the afternoon a warm breeze cooled things to the high 20s. I could work in the shade outside.

I watered well into the evening reviving newly planted cuttings and ferns that aren't huge fans of days like today.

Today's gratitude: For fresh, cold, clean water. I drunk a lot of it today.
