My hubby is the best lentils cooker I've ever known. He lets them simmer on top of the stove for hours, allowing me to travel back to the roots of humanity. No gas, no electricity, all free, a slice of bread and you feel nourished like in heaven. Lentils are the most archaic dish I know!
