Mad scientist vs. Nice scientist

Poster seen in the train today, a Verizon ad for wind energy it seems. If only it were as simple as mad vs. nice scientist. A nice scientist could be developing a potentially world saving technology, but how that technology will be used by non scientists could turn the application mad.
