American Golden Plover

Always more exciting to find your own birds and this was the best I have found this Autumn. The top bird is an American Golden Plover (rare) and the bottom a (Eurasian) Golden Plover (common). More details are on my blog.
This was on the way back from a walk on one of our favourite places up here, Clachan Shannda or in family parlance the Camping Beach.
More Airbnb guests today. I assumed Russian from the name and was firmly and not surprisingly corrected as they were Ukranian - not exactly friendly with the Russians currently. 
Bizarrely they had seen me watching the plover earlier in the afternoon - life on a small island.
