A boring photo I hear you say

And you would be right. It is taken from the Northern end of Berneray looking out along what is rather prosaically called The Reef on the Admiralty Charts.
Other place-names in the area are less prosaic and I think provide good evidence for driven whale hunting as still practiced in the Faeroes being undertaken here in Norse times. Too much detail for my blip but more can be found in my blog.
