A Walk On The Wall
We used the Park & Ride to get into York in the morning. We had some time to kill before meeting Bunny, Butterfly and our ray of sunshine (shots of the girls are in the extras box), so we had a bit of a walk along the city wall.
When we met the ladies at the station we went over to the National Rail Museum where we spent great day. Butterfly got really involved watching the principals of jet propulsion using a child and a household fan and then making a parachute before having a high old time looking at the displays of old rolling stock.
After lunch it was story time (where she exhausted the staff member with questions), learning about cogs and why they have 'bumps' on them and lots more. Like her father - she is a sponge with a thirst for knowledge.
After they headed home, we headed back to the hotel for a bit of a rest before making our way to John & Sarah's house for a meet up with some of their friends, family and neighbours. It was also a chance to meet up with some people we haven't seen in over 30 years.
It was a great evening and as usual, Sarah had made enough food to feed an army.
