Apples and Oranges

By Anitsirk

I continued making wreaths today, but first I went out to the place were we hang the finished wreaths to get some inspiration. I couldn't find my wreath from last Friday and asked about it. I was told that it was sold. Already! That was fun! I thought it would take longer, much much longer.
My boss suggested that we could dry the rose hips in our 'dryer' (a small electrical drying machine for fruits, mushrooms and such...). I thought it a good idea! They will have texture and last longer in the wreaths.
Otherwise I had a fun time at work. A coworker and I planned for making the bird 'feeder' (just coconut fat and loads of different nuts, in different forms and shapes), and then we just chatted along. I finished one new wreath and also finished the first one I made. These will get price tags tomorrow and be up for sale.
I finished with my weekly journal spread today. This is last week. I made these last evening, just sat with my aquarelle pencils. It's very meditative to just draw. I have the wreath and the autumn leaf, and the rose hips I collected yesterday, and then the needle and tread is a symbol of my sewing, even if I did it on my machine. I drew some more today for this weeks journaling pages.
