Up a tree in a Grey Lynn reserve

Today was a good day at work. Especially good was the consultant's meeting. The attendance was the best in months. Possibly because I had arranged for the pharmacy students who have done the prescribing audit to attend half way through the meeting and present their results.

The students were excellent, and their results are challenging. Not unexpectedly, there was a fairly defensive initial response from the consultants, until they realised that neither the students, nor I, were immediately saying that there is a problem. Having established that one in seven of the patients in our service who are prescribed antipsychotics receive higher than recommended dosages, and that one in four is on two or more antipsychotics concurrently, we now need to find out why. And they are being invited to help us find that out.

After work I took a walk into Grey Lynn Park and then out of the park into a nearby reserve where this eastern rosella flew into a tree .
