Light and shade

A very mixed day. During a happy lunch out with friends, news came through that my brother-in-law in Australia had passed away after a long illness. It was not unexpected, but still very sad. Then an afternoon trip back to our local shopping centre to return and exchange some items bought earlier. This colourful textured wall display caught my eye, and seemed to capture the mood of today’s mixture of happiness and sadness.
