Spice topped apple cake
With plenty of apples stored in the shed, apple recipes are needed!
This one was given to me by Sarah, a friend with an enormous orchard!
It is rather an unusual recipe in that it doesn’t make a cake batter, more like a dough which you have to press into your baking tin. I think this helps to absorb the juices that flow from the cooked apples.
It works really well!
