Stainforth Force

In my experience the Yorkshire Dales come a close second to the Lake District for photographic opportunities. I had an excellent few days here taking photos when I wasn't acting as sherpa for my son's Three Peaks Challenge. This is Stainforth Force; a lovely set of cascades in any conditions but beautiful on a cold sunny day like this. As an added bonus, this cascade is a salmon leap, and I saw several big salmon trying (and failing, alas) to get up the biggest fall (probably about 8 feet).
