Lovely vintage car

The weather was beautiful today with the temperature reaching 31°C. We had a street brunch at The Takshe which was a really nice occasion. When we left I was delighted to find this beautiful 1939 Buick Eight parked outside. It has an original 1964 number plate. AB would indicate the the car came from the deep south of New Zealand as the new permanent plates issued that year were distributed South to North starting at AA at the bottom of the country. It is also a right hand drive edition which must have been converted for driving on the left side of the road in New Zealand
