Wherever next?

It's only a rugby match Bob...

The final started at 11am so we had to complete our walk from St Francis Bay to the Harbour by 10.30am  to ensure our pre booked table at The St Francis Brewery Pub wasn't given away. We arrived in time and had perfect seats to watch the Springboks beat the English whilst we sipped craft beers & ciders and munched on the odd Bacon & Egg Breakfast Burger.
The rest of our last full day in RSA just seemed evaporate when our hosts invited us to their informal "Bring & Braai" and we opted to sit around their garden chatting with the neighbours, drinking wine and IPA and eating some of the best barbecued food you could wish to have. Graham, a passionate Braai Man, explained his technique; an open wood fire is allowed to die down slowly leaving copious glowing embers. Meat is cooked slowly and never comes close to being burnt or charred, The Braai Party happens around the fire and the cooking is more of an integral part of the occasion rather than just a means to obtaining cooked food. His Zen like approach to the Art of the Braai was a fitting end to our holiday and reminded us that the journey is always more important than the destination,  It has been a wonderful journey.
