Early and late

Left home before 7am for a lovely 3.5 hr drive up north, We drove through a landscape of fiery red mountains dripping with yellow trees and gold grass in places, autumn at it's peak. Event delivered and lots of interest before the same drive home where the sky was on fire and fantastic views around every turn. I was sitting in the back of the car so few photos but they did stop for me once to take this although by this time I had missed most of the colour.

Home by 7pm and couldn't face going out again to the local fireworks so I can hear them from the house but not see them. First time we have missed in about 18 years.
