Wonderful view!
Well we just made it! We were due to go and see our son at 2:00. But we’re told he probably wouldn’t be there by then ! So we raced from Croyden to the hospital! We were very lucky to get the train immediately. The tubes were not so good as the circle and district Lines were not working and the others highly overcrowded! But we made it and then he was held back by paperwork that wasn’t done! He is incredibly well if you consider what he went through. The scar healed and only paracetamol to help with any pain! He’s thin and needs a good shave but oh it was good to see him! So pleased to be going home!
There are two new kittens to welcome him as well as his wife and three children!
The church , as seen from the ward window is St Luke’s and Christ Church. Charles Dickens was married there and Roland’s great, great, great, great grandmother was christened there!
We said goodbye and went to the station and to “ Le pain Quotidien “ to celebrate! I had a wonderful strawberry tart and Ro the chocolate Bomb! By then rain so we decided to go back to Croyden by 49 bus and train!
