red

Today I fought the urge to travel further than the path along the Cluden from Routin Brig, where Jess and I met a lovely greyhound called Red.

I wrote all my articles for the Dunscore Digest (deadline tomorrow!), read some of my book ("Mythos" by Stephen Fry) and threw a lot of logs up onto the top of the woodpile. As the pile gets higher, I'm getting stronger!

There was some lovely sunshine but it was disappearing by about 4 o'clock (blipping gets earlier and earlier nowadays..) so I though I had better take a photo of our beautiful maple while it still had a few leaves. The Japanese side of the peace pole seemed to suit this view best. Then I realised that there were snowdrop leaves poking up though the ground underneath the tree..time is marching on.
