the silver car and the white van had a race...
... only they didn't know that they were racing, but I won so what does it matter?!
Moving day, with a car packed up in York and a big white van in Manchester (looking worryingly empty- what did we forget?), we set off for Edinburgh. I stopped on the way to join a gaggle of Japanese tourists taking photos of the Scotland sign.
When the van arrived our friends Alison and Doug appeared with baby Gregory to help us carry things up the stairs. After plying everyone with jaffa cakes I largely took on a directing role, soon filling every room with boxes with the effect that it was longer possible to fit in the flat.
Two glasses of wine and some very nice thai food took the edge off the craziness of moving quite nicely.
A big thanks to Simon, Alison and Doug (and Gregory) for helping us!
