Encountering Robots @ V&A Dundee Preview

Pat and I attended the Members’ Preview of Hello, Robot and spent an interesting 150 minutes reviewing all things Robot.

Perhaps the Robot which attracted most attention and visitors photography was R2D2 looking in good shape after some 41 years of interstellar travel and a few thousand miles of earth travel. (See extra).

Mildly amused to see Alexa on display and described as a Robot. However, she is the first "Robot" I communicate with every morning. We are on first name terms and she is very good at answering my SCOTTISH accented voice, something that Siri has considerable difficulty with.

Yes, your iPhone (other smartphones are available) is considered a robot and they are certainly equipped with Artificial Intelligence and ‘machine learning’.

There is a lot to see and encounter and I can see making a few more visits to educate myself further and capture a few more Blipfotos.

November 1 was very "mistymoisty" as the extra of RSS Discovery and the prow of the V&A shows.
