Hello Edinburgh!

A view over Edinburgh looking towards Arther's Seat taken from Blackford Hill. Walking through the Hermitage and up Blackford Hill is one of our favourite walks, on a clear day like today you get panoramic views over Edinburgh and across the Firth of Forth to Fife.

We walked down the far side of the hill and through the houses to The Meadows and then up to Falko in Bruntsfield for lunch. While everywhere looks pretty much the same there are a few changes, mostly shops which have closed and new restaurants opened. There must be a coffee shop for every day of the year between Bruntsfield and Morningside (that will be one to each hairdressers then). Rumours are that two more coffee shops are opening opposite our flat, one of them in the old pet shop Paws Here. I'll miss rescuing escaped hamsters in the night, and I hope they give the place a thorough clean before they start serving food out of it...
