Monster bug?

A bit of shadow play by my daughter to demonstrate our tendency as humans to fear what WE do not understand. After a quick Southern California rainfall, beastly bugs of all types emerge.

Some appear to be terrifying at first glance. Taking time to educate ourselves about this especially gruesome looking insect about to be gobbled up by an even more ferocious shadow monster, my daughter & I learned about the actual benefits of having these bugs roaming around beneath our soil.
