'Indian Summer'

We're definitely not having one of those but the Alstroemeria I bought last week bears the name and they are still blooming nicely.  

It's been a mild day today.  Coffee with my bee keeper friend this morning but she was bearing bad news of her son and family whose property was flooded out last Saturday morning after all the rain we had and the fire service did a wonderful job of rescuing, dog, children and parents.  The ground floor of the property was under 4ft of water and a lot of their personal possessions were carried away by the force of the water and ended up in the lake on the other side of the road.  All so very stressful but at least the family are safe and now residing with O's Mum, my friend.  
 
We're off down to Hampshire tomorrow for Mr T's #2 son's 50th birthday celebrations.  The weather doesn't bode well for the weekend and .........  the rain's just started here. hey ho??
