Surprise Strawberries

In the spring I bought three strawberry plants for the garden.  One of them didn't produce any fruit so I thought that it was biding it's time until next year. 

I was very surprised when I went down the garden this morning to find three perfectly ripe strawberries growing.  It was obviously an autumn fruiting variety so I couldn't have read the label. I'm very lucky that the blackbirds haven't eaten them as the plant is near the bird feeders!
