Flannel flower (Phylica pubescens)

Late this afternoon I visited my garden designer's garden, coming home with various seedlings and bits and bobs. Yeah, I've got it bad. ;-)

This attractive chappie (with an unfortunate latin name) is a candidate for the front of my place. But my priority is to continue building up the soil. Some of the dry parts are too light and dusty, and the heavy wet parts are the opposite.

I feel like I've chased my tail today but can end the week knowing that I'm where I want to be with my work. I'm a tired wee bunny and an early night beckons.

Today's gratitude: For the spring veges. I'm enjoying them.
