Bygone days

Went out for another walk today.. this time went towards the town as had some errands to attend to.
Decided to explore the back streets and the area along by the river... found several of the buildings had entrance ways to a whole new world - a bygone era that was really charming - you could imagine the horse and cart ambling along...
I did not grow up here so i have very limited knowledge of the area... stopped at the tourist info centre to get maps and some more history so i can become knowledgeable....
Also bought a cycle map ... hoping as my hands heal to get fitter and explore further.
