Do I like Christchurch?

I’ve been pondering that question. We have been coming here for 15 years - eight occasions, some sad, some happy. We have explored South Island extensively. And a little of North Island too.

I do like Christchurch. I have spent a summer here, and now a springtime. The air, the light, the lovely area, the braveness of recovery.

So, apart from the possibility of being bounced out of bed by another quake, I think it’s a great place to enjoy. Mind you, the winters don’t get high praise. .
