Mod Cons
Today our Salvation Army hall is being used as a polling station for the Boscombe and Pokesdown Neighbourhood Plan. No, it doesn't mean much to me either. I don't live in that area so don't have to vote. I opened up the hall at 6.15 am (yawn). The Presiding Officer was thrilled when she opened the polling booths box and found this little gadget. Our usual booths are ancient and look as if they ought to be inscribed "Benjamin Disraeli voted here." The ledge this side is a bit low, but I guess it's for wheelchair users.
